About This Course
Course Overview
The global energy sector is undergoing profound transformation. Emerging technologies, the shale revolution, renewable disruption, environmental pressures and complex geopolitical dynamics make value creation increasingly challenging for energy professionals at every level.
This intensive 5-day Mini MBA programme delivers a comprehensive, executive-level immersion into the oil, gas and energy industries — covering upstream operations, supply chain dynamics, project finance, strategic analysis and future energy trends. Participants gain the tools, frameworks and decision-analytic insights needed to lead effectively in a volatile, carbon-constrained world.
Taught by Dr. Babak Jafarizadeh — engineering economist, former Senior Economic Analyst at Equinor (Statoil), and academic at Heriot-Watt University and UC Berkeley — the programme integrates real-world industry experience with rigorous theoretical frameworks, delivered through executive-style lectures, case studies, financial modelling exercises and group decision simulations.
