9–13 Nov 2026 23–27 Nov 2026 Istanbul & Rio de Janeiro 5 Days 5-Star Hotel
About This Course
Course Overview
This unique 5-day programme bridges two of the most critical topics in today's energy landscape: the global energy transition and the fiscal systems governing petroleum upstream operations. It is the only course that integrates both disciplines into a single, coherent learning journey.
Days 1 and 2 explore the energy transition in depth — renewable energy economics, hydrogen typologies, carbon capture technologies, energy storage, and the policy and financial drivers reshaping the global energy mix towards net-zero by 2050. Days 3, 4 and 5 pivot to petroleum fiscal systems, covering royalties, bonuses, production sharing contracts, joint ventures, carried interest, progressive taxes, and country-specific government take analysis.
Led by Dr Pedro, an internationally recognised petroleum economist whose expertise has been praised by professionals from Schlumberger, Chevron and Shell, the course is delivered at five-star hotel venues in Istanbul (November) and Rio de Janeiro (November 2026).
